Cabbage

Bring cabbage back to your table as the star it deserves to be. Slaws, salads, and wraps will all shine made from these gems.

Flavor & Preparation

Green Cabbage

Smooth, sturdy leaves carry a peppery taste that lends itself to salads and slaws. The robust texture of our cabbage means you can prepare your dish ahead of time with no fear of wilting. Try combining them with other crunchy veg in a vinegar-based dressing and let them marinade for several hours; they’ll soak up all the flavor and leave you with the perfect crunch for a satisfying side.

For warm dishes, take a little time to cook the leaves down “low and slow”. Their flavor will transform into a sweet, almost buttery bite with a tender texture.

Napa Cabbage

Unlike its dense, spherical cousin, Napa cabbage grows into a looser, oblong shape, with ruffled leaves. The flavor is slightly different, as well, with less of a peppery bite. For a twist on a classic, shred leaves as the base for your salads or use as a taco topping.

Cabbage leaves will keep much longer than lettuce, making them a great staple for fresh end-of-the-week dishes.

Health Benefits

  • Our cabbages are more than a pretty leaf — they’re a close relative to kale and broccoli, and carry the same health benefits as their cousins.

  • One cup of cabbage carries the majority of your daily Vitamin K and C, plus lots of folate.

  • These greens also contribute to a healthy heart and gut, and have natural anti-inflammatory properties!
