Heirloom Tomatoes

A Farmer's market favorite! Every year our customers tell us that we grow the best tasting tomatoes. We tend to think that they make a pretty darn good BLT.


Flavor & Preparation

Does anything say “Summer” more than a sweet, freshly picked tomato? We grow several heirloom varieties, resulting in a rainbow selection. Each variety has slight differences in taste and texture, but they all scream tomato sweetness in every bite.

Our favorite preparation is raw in a hearty BLT (paired with our sweet head lettuce, of course!), but you can use these in any tomato recipe to elevate your results. We love processing large quantities at once into tomato sauces and soups that store will until mid-winter. Finishing a snowy day with a rich, roasted tomato-basil soup helps keep Summer with us year round.

Heirloom tomatoes lend themselves well to salads. Try using them as the main ingredient instead of greens, and pair with feta and balsamic vinegar for a memorable side. For tomato lovers, we also recommend eating them on their own, sliced and topped with a little finishing salt and pepper.

If salsas are your thing, may we humbly suggest roasting these tomatoes with a few cloves of garlic, then processing. You’ll add a depth of flavor that balances spicy peppers and works well with tacos.
